An Insight Into Two-Tier Travel Affiliate Programs
Two-tier travel affiliate programs are increasingly becoming popular these days with the travel advertisers.
Those of you who aren’t familiar with affiliate marketing, two-tier could be a new term to you but to those who are already involved in this kind of affiliate marketing experience; it could mean a stream of income. Two-tier is an attractive feature of an affiliate program where, affiliates are allowed to sign-up additional affiliates under them. Now when the under-affiliates, otherwise termed as second-tier affiliates, earn commission, the affiliate above receives a commission too.
Some advertisers out there offer multi-tier programs that distribute commission into a hierarchical referral network of sign-ups and sub-affiliates.
To put it in a better manner, let’s say publisher “1″ signs up for the affiliate program with an advertiser and gets his share for the agreed activity conducted by a referred visitor. If publisher “1″ is successful in attracting other two publishers “2″ and “3″ to sign up for the same affiliate program using his referral code, all future activities performed by publishers “2″ and “3″ will finally result in an additional commission (at a lower rate) for publisher “1″.
Two-tier programs are not so prevalent as for now with the affiliate programs; most are simply one-tier. Referral programs beyond two-tier resemble multi-level marketing (MLM) or network marketing but are different. Multi-level marketing (MLM) or network marketing have more requirements/qualifications to get paid a commission. Whereas one-tier affiliate programs do not.
Two-tier program has proved to be a winner compared to the single-tier program and should be priority for the newbie affiliates as well as for the affiliate program pros. When you begin to gain profits from your site as well as your tiers, this would be the right time to say that you have used two-tier affiliate program to your advantage.
